Support academics

Fellowships for students

Companies support the work of individual students pursuing their Master of Design or Ph.D. degrees. Fellowships may be targeted to support students from a specific region of the world, students in a particular track, thesis projects or Ph.D. research.

Benefits

    • Gain exposure to ID's design methods through fellows' projects
    • Form long-term relationships with potential employees
    • Help advance the development of user-centered, strategic design

Level of Support
Master's students: $35,000/year
Ph.D. students: $44,000/year for three years

Sponsoring class projects

Many companies find it valuable to have a team of ID students investigate a topic of interest to the company as a class project. Topics for these projects range in scope from tailoring specific products and services to conducting exploratory research and identifying new opportunities for innovation. Sponsored projects are framed jointly by the company and ID faculty members.

If you have an idea for a topic that could be explored in an ID class or classes, please contact us to discuss ways of working together.

Level of support: $50,000 per semester.
