Master of Design Methods (MDM)
The Master of Design Methods (MDM) is a one year full-time degree, also offered part-time over two to three years, and is intended for mid-career design and innovation leaders who seek to add a more analytical methodology to their competency. Prerequisites include an undergraduate degree, at least five years of professional leadership experience as evidenced by peer evaluations, an exemplary portfolio (for those with design backgrounds), and strong recommendations, awards or other honors.

Deadlines
Fall admission: June 1
Spring admission: September 15 international applicants; October 15 domestic
Application to the Master of Design Methods (MDM) program requires:
Application and fee: submit the application form along with the $75 application fee.
Prior degree: four-year bachelors degree, minimum GPA 3.0/4.0. Official transcript from institution(s) where a degree was earned is required.
Test scores: GRE encouraged but not required. TOEFL required for international applicants without a bachelors degree from an accredited, English-speaking university; minimum 100 (250 computer-based, 600 paper-based).
Portfolio: required in some cases (may include non-design projects).
Work experience: minimum 5 years of innovation leadership. Include your current resume for review.
Recommendations: three letters from professional contacts, at least one current.
Essay: complete a Statement of Education and Career Goals.
Interview: required.
Other: must demonstrate peer recognition (e.g. publications, lectures, awards).
