Graduate Intro To Digital Media

A graduate level, project oriented survey of the basic media types that are used in interactive software. The course also includes a culminating project that demonstrates basic principles of screen design and computer human interaction using a variety of media. Projects will require the use of the common software applications for creating and editing the six data types: text, bitmaps, geometry, sound, animation, and video.

Format & Grading

Morning sessions will cover technical matters and one on one help with ongoing assignments.
Afternoon sessions will present new material and methods and critique of ongoing work.

Attendance is required.
Grades will be based as follows:
Project 1 05% Project 4 20%
Project 2 10% Project 5 20%
Project 3 20% Project 6 25%

No project has a final grade until the last day of class when all projects are to be submitted. The grade on any assignment may be improved through the due date.
