Interactive Media
Description
This course examines interactive media focused on improving the engagement between consumers and the offering (application, game, web site, or intelligent devices). We will explore techniques to make an offering intriguing enough through its interactions to foster repeated return visits by consumers and build a ‘digital engagement’ of either enduring quality or an actionable resolution. Also, we'll explore storytelling and classic narrative structures that may help us create a stronger, longer lasting emotional connection between the vendor and their clients.
Format & Grading
The course will be conducted in a discussion format with both individual and team assignments.
Students are graded on their classroom involvement, their individual, and team assignments. All assignments will be graded weekly.
