Design Planning Workshop organized by Institute for Design Knowledge in Hong Kong
The workshop presents an overview of some of the key principles that drive “Design Innovation Planning” followed by a broad look at the design innovation planning process that Vijay Kumar has developed over many years. This model will have seven modes: sense intent, know users, know context, frame insights, explore concepts, frame solutions, and realize offerings. The course will primarily focus on some of the key methods, tools, and frameworks that design planners use during these modes.
The course will introduce 4 key principles that design planners need to keep in mind. It will also provide an overview of methods and tools that design planners need to use at every step of the design innovation planning process. These include methods for user research, context research analysis, synthesis, and realization.
